History

At Palm Bay, the teaching and learning is focused on providing opportunities for the children to develop their understanding of the rich and varied history of the world around us. History is taught through our topic-based learning, which allows the children to immerse themselves in history alongside other cross-curricular opportunities. Our aim when teaching history is to develop children’s awareness of world events and to critically consider their impact on society today. We encourage this by providing our children with opportunities to debate, investigate and see historic events from a range of perspectives.
